Below are a few tips to help you:
Full Week stays: Sat 29 Jan-Sat 5 Feb or Sun 30 Jan-Sun 6 Feb 2011
Many Drs choose to stay the full week in resort.
This ironically can work out a more economical option than a short stay. Many hotel, chalet & apartment operators we work with offer packages.
These include accommodation, flights & transfers and catering where applicable.
Many regional airports are available.
We offer flight & transfer only options if you already have your accommodation arranged
We can arrange anything from low budget to 5 star luxury options.
Short Stays: 2 – 6 day breaks
We also organise more bespoke options for shorter durations. This again is not a problem
We work with all the hotels, apartments & chalets that offer short stays
Transfers: There is a public bus available which we can help with. Otherwise we can arrange shared transport options (subject to other guests arriving on similar flights) and private taxis.
Hotel, apartment, chalet or chalet hotel?
We work with just about every accommodation supplier in resort from a simple 2 star up to 5 star luxury. So, whether basic or sauna & hot tub, we have it covered!
Our 2 star hotel B&B options are good quality with only a short walk to the Congress centre. We also have 3, 4 and even 5 star hotels catering to all budgets
We have literally hundreds of private apartments of all types and budget. Simply let us know what you are looking for and we can send you options with no obligation
Many Drs opt for chalets or chalet hotels. These are a more social option and we try to put Drs in the same properties where possible to help you get to know one another. A chalet hotel is basically like a large chalet and is a good option for solo travellers
Solo travellers. How to find the best deal?
We know every available single room in resort plus every single supplement payable whether for a hotel, chalet or chalet hotel. We know which options are expensive and which offer better value for the single traveller.
Shared rooms are also available in many hotels and chalets if this were an option. We endeavour to match up Drs with other delegates in order that where possible you are sharing with a colleague and not a total stranger. Just let us know if you are happy to share and we will do our very best to try and match you up.
Solo travellers are recommended to book earlier rather than later to ensure availability
Ski Deals.. will there be many last minute deals for Winter 10/11?
Winter 08/09 was a great season for those Drs who made last minute bookings. Last winter, however, late deals were few and were more expensive. Many delegates who chose to wait for late deals ended up in a panic at the last minute as rooms sold incredibly quickly once reduced, not in fact saving a great deal at all. The bonus for 2011 is end Jan is a quieter week than previous conferences. We usually do have late deals for this week, although of course we cannot predict what will occur. If you wish to try for a late deal for the conference, simply let us know and we will keep you updated as prices being to fall. You then let us know when you wish to book.
Ski extras: Lift passes, tuition, ski hire, anything else!
SKI PASSES: Any duration can be arranged through us and will be waiting for you on arrival at your accommodation. This is a FREE service. Please be aware there is a discount offered directly through the conference centre. There were in previous seasons restrictyions on these so please check with the Doctors Updates website.
